About The Monkey Man

The Monkey Man is a concept representative of the human mental semi autonomous processes. The Monkey Man isn’t good or bad – he’s just doing what he knows. Understanding him helps us understand ourselves. Note: The Monkey Man is representative of the Yang component of the emotional process and is always depicted as masculine. This has nothing to do with the gender of the human host.

Lebombo’s Bone is a conceptualization of my Monkey Man. A visual representation of my individual semi autonomous processes. The name is an allusion to The Lebombo-Bone, a small piece of polished baboon’s fibula that was discovered in the Lebombo Mountains near the border of South Africa and Swaziland. It is estimated to be over 35,000 years old and is believed to be one of the oldest mathematical instruments ever found.
